Only a few lots in this subdivision were large enough for a one-story design. The builder, John Davis, had us design this 4085 square foot home with that in mind.
We wanted a fairly open design, yet allowing for privacy between the living and family room. Homes selling in this community have large Master Bedrooms, with large walk-in closets. A Butler Pantry and large Kitchen Pantry were important. As well, the Study plays greatly into the design as more and more people are working at home. Yet, the computer and its associated equipment are not typically desirable for visitors to see.
An important feature for this home was a more comfortable and low key entry. There are enough homes with pretentious entries built in Austin
