Don and Julie Ward came to me with
a very unique site within Lakepointe. This lot was a pie shape that would
only accommodate a long narrow plan. In addition, the subdivision does
not allow front entry garages. We decided to utilize rear facing
garages with a Porte Cochere, and the home's design reflects
a very comfortable and family friendly lifestyle.
In addition, the clients only wanted the Game Room upstairs, we convinced them to include the Guest Room up with a bathroom. The clients wanted every major space to have an interesting ceiling. We did wood ceilings in both the living and Game Room, a wood truss with a vault in the Kitchen and Breakfast.
The rear covered porch was important to the clients, they did not want to feel cramped by the height of the ceiling. So, we incorporated a twelve foot high ceiling in the rear porch.
