Christy + David Greeneisen came to
me to design their future home in Austin. They wanted to incorporate as
many green features as they could, yet design a home that was
compatible with the surrounding neighborhood of Las Lomas.
The 4,871 s.f. home will include a 4kw Solar Photovoltaic system, and a rainwater catchment system.
In addition, there is a 870 s.f. guest suite / mother-inlaw apartment.
The clients decided to rate the home with LEED, the new NAHB Green Rating system, and of course the City of Austin Green Building Program.
