We were honored that 1908 Stamford was chosen for the 2016 Cool House Tour!
This project built by
Native in Tarrytown exemplifies our efforts towards Net-Zero Homes. The clients chose not to maximize their home, rather build what they needed.
Unfortunately, the lot had a really old deed restriction that pushed back the house. The orginal design included a 2-car carport.
The goal of the project is to be Net-Zero. Some passive solar design elements, include large overhangs and attention to the orientation.
Additional features include Spray foam insulation in the walls and at the roof deck, Anderson windows, Kynar coated metal roofing, Energy Star appliances, dual flush toilets, high efficiency lighting, stained concrete.

We were very honored that 1908 Stamford was chosen for the 2016 Cool House Tour.
This home was designed to be net-zero, however, many factors can influence wether a home is functionally net-zero.
This can include the plans and specifications being followed, pools, electric cars, and overall homeowner habits.
