Teresa and Paul Kennedy have a
great lot in Lake Austin estates within walking distance to the lake.
Its numerous 20" plus oak trees, made it ideal for an environmentally
responsive design. It was very important to them to preserve as much of
the site naturally, and with a site-specific design that was
accomplished. The location of the trees was instrumental in providing
them a functional plan that took advantage of a great rear yard but did
not ignore the front of the home.
The initial intent had been to have the game room in the design but only for the future, however the home came back within a budget that the Kennedy's felt they could afford to finish out the game room.
Since I designed this house for the Kennedy's they have done two additional homes with me, the first one; a 3,582 s.f. home on Nickolas Cove in La Ventana, and the scond one; a 2,677 s.f. home on Zyle Road in South Travis County.
